FAQs

Your questions, answered.

Fixed training splits programme volume and exercises based on the split-maker's experience and body. umber instead generates the right workout for your body on demand - factoring in your personal constraints, goals, history, and preferences. So, if you miss a day, umber will put you right back on track.

As long as you're honestly filling in the check-in, umber will know when it's better for you to rest. If your check-in leaves too little worthwhile training, umber will recommend a rest day. You can still override that recommendation and request the most sympathetic viable session if you're desperate to get a session in.

Each workout, you'll log completed sets, reps, load, and intensity, plus optional feedback for each exercise which really helps umber adapt to your biomechanics and physiology.

No. We wanted umber to give you the best output every time, and AI models can't guarantee that. umber is instead making decisions based on thousands of calculations based on real biomechanics and hypertrophy research data.

No. umber records your training-relevant readiness and provides exercise-planning guidance. It won't diagnose injuries or replace qualified medical advice.

umber is being tested with a small group of real users while sections of the app are polished using your feedback. Features and recommendations will continue to improve, and as a thank you for participating you'll receive free lifetime access to umber's core features for as long as umber remains operational.
